Cafe Laufer

It is based on European foods mostly. They have an assortment of sandwiches for lunch that you can get with a salad and soup. Also available for meals is salads, pasta, etc. They have a bunch of assorted pastries that are very tasty to choose from. Of course you can not forget about their expansive drink menu that has delicious coffees. I am never disappointed whenever I go here. The food, desserts, and drinks are made to order which is what makes it taste even better!! After all, fresh food is always the best! But, if you get the sandwich you are able to choose between fresh salad or pasta salad. I recommend getting the fresh salad because I tried the pasta salad a couple of times and it is just not consistent.

When I went today I decided on the sandwich and daily soup. It was delicious and a bit too much so I took half of it home for later because I just had to get a slice of cake since I was already there. I also had a coffee with my meal. Today I got the regular coffee with refills because I was so tired. I usually get the thai coffee. Their thai coffee is really good, I usually get it iced. For the dessert I got a strawberry short cake. It was nice and light. The frosting was also not caky or too sweet but light and fluffy instead. I also love how they put fresh strawberries inside and one on top. It is a decent sized slice so I recommend sharing it with someone else if possible.

  1. I also love to eat and trying new restaurants! Cafe Laufer sounds like a gem, I will definitely be going there to try some of there sweet treats and delicious dishes you described. I looked at their website and there is not one thing on the menu I don't want to try. Is it pricey? Is there parking? Is there a nice seating area?

My grandmother and I take turns finding new lunch places to try, I am looking forward to taking her here.

  2. I see you enjoy Kaimuki's restaurant scene, too! I have had coffee and desserts at Cafe Laufer before and found them high-quality and delicious. I have not had any meals there yet. I must try more of their menu! Thanks for sharing your experience.
